· An unlisted locus is treated as having no variant recorded for that parent. This is an input assumption, not proof of wild type. Add possible hets where relevant.
Genotypes before nicknames.
The 51 curated locus entries cover seven species. They are a working reference, not an exhaustive morph index. A named combination such as Snow may involve more than one locus; a line-bred colour cannot be assigned a reliable Mendelian percentage.
Carriers and uncertainty
A proven recessive carrier has one copy. A 50% or 66% possible carrier is a probability about the parent, which the model includes before predicting offspring.
Alleles at one locus
Corn snake Amel/Ultra and Motley/Stripe, plus royal python Mojave/Lesser, are calculated as pairs of alleles at one genetic position. Each parent passes one of the two.

A position in the genome. An animal inherits one allele at that position from each parent.
One variant copy. A recessive het usually looks unlike the two-copy visual animal.
